Unified Threads

Synopsis:

It all starts with perception.

What if our perception of the world, and its many inhabitants, expanded?
Every Being has a different vantage point.
When we truly know a soul, we find solace.
Asking questions with an open mind and heart is how we learn how to relate to one another.
Relational healing goes beyond the surface level.
When we listen to someone on a deeper level, we fear less and love more. We’re all teachers.
Every Being on this planet has a gift that is meaningful to share.

This podcast is about expanding our vision and illuminating the threads that weave us together as a community.

Simply put, this podcast is about Lessons in Love.

Welcome to Unified Threads.

Where does it all spin out? Relationships.

This episode features two beings sharing discoveries about how relationships influenced their experience with education.

First up, Ilgez, a Turkish-born native now living in Montana working as an Agile Learning Facilitator shares her experiences about growing up in Turkey, finding freedom through theatre, and being of service for young people in an environment that prioritizes Self-Directed Education.  (5:01)

Then Aykan speaks about his experiences traveling the world with his family as a young person who was born in the U.S., lived in the U.K. then Turkey. He gives us a verbal glimpse into how those cultures have shaped his reality. (43:59)

Most music heard in this episode was created by the community at the 120 Day Sufi Gathering at the Dargah (Dargah is derived from a Persian word which literally means "portal" or "threshold."[8]) in Yalova, Turkey. July, 2017.

Closing tune “Renelata” by Jazzy Robot (1:07:00)

Uppercase definition of "Self-Directed Education" can be heard here.
